This girl needs a VERY specific and special kind of home as her prey drive is high, and she needs to be able to relax before she can begin to interact with any behavioural plans. She is such a sweetie indoors but is triggered by other animals, indoors or out (even the TV was a problem, but her fosterer has worked hard to correct this), people walking past her home, life in general. It is hugely apparent that we were not given the full story when this girl was surrendered, but that is not her fault.

Type of home needed: 

Bryde’s needs a home with someone who has absolutely no other pets, not so much as a hamster or fish, and is prepared to take walks VERY slowly, none at all initially, to let her decompress and learn to focus on her new human, rather than being stressed by the world around her. She needs someone who is home for much of the time and that home needs to be very secluded so that she is not upset by traffic or passing people. Yes, this is a HUGE ask for her and we are very worried for her future, but she is such a sweet yet troubled girl that we simply must pull out all the stops to find a Forever Sofa for her. She will be a challenge in many ways, but her love is unconditional and that is unquestioned. On-going support will be given for Bryde’s to help her and her new home.

Bryde’s is currently in Scotland. Preference will be given to applicants nearest to that area or those willing to travel to collect.  

If the foster carer decides to adopt this dog at the end of the foster period, the fee will be £350 but this is negotiable as a caring home is far more important, and we know we are looking for Hen’s Teeth..
